Community Wood & Green Waste Dumpsters

The Okanogan Conservation District hosts woody & green waste dumpster disposal free of charge throughout the Okanogan County. These events provide residents with an alternative to outdoor burning and help reduce smoke in the Okanogan River Airshed.

Soft Waste/Green Waste Dumpsters: This is for vegetative disposal of natural plant-based materials that cannot be chipped. Materials such as leaves, pine needles, grass clippings, woodchips, and pinecones are

allowed. NO large woody debris, trash, or animal carcasses.

Woody Waste Dumpsters: Disposal of natural plant-based materials that includes smaller woody debris such as bushes, twigs, branches less than 6-feet in length.

Okanogan County Central Landfill

Okanogan County’s Central Landfill also accepts green waste from Okanogan County residents for free. This provides another option for disposing of leaves, branches, another other yard debris without burning.

Choosing to drop of green waste instead of burning it helps reduce smoke and protects the air we all breathe.
